Lawerance Fred Schlichtman, the son of Frank and Sharon (Roe) Schlichtman was born on September 26, 1958, in Omaha, Nebraska.  He was one of three children born to his parents.  He passed away on August 25, 2010, at Thayer County Health Services Hospital, at the age of 51 years, 10 months and 29 days.

Larry attended school in Redwood City, California and was a Sequoia Union High School graduate. He was united in marriage to Patricia Allen on August 20, 1988 at the St. Pius Catholic Church in Redwood City.  This union was blessed with two children: Matthew and Daniel.  Larry lived in Redwood City, California from 1958-1989 and Fresno from 1989-2006 before moving to Davenport, Nebraska. He was an assistant Boy Scout leader for his children, Matt and Dan for eight years, while living in Fresno. Larry was a mechanic and truck driver. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents:  Lawrence & Grace (Cowan) (Roe) Davis; Glen Roe; Fred & Grace (Smith) (Schlichtman) Ferrero; step grandfather, Frank Ferrero; and brother-in-law, Skip Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Davenport; his parents, Frank & Sharon (Roe) Schlichtman of Davenport; honorary mother-in-law, Marsha Haynes of Seal Beach, California; his two sons, Matthew and Daniel Schlichtman of Davenport; siblings, Jami Jackson and Tom Schlichtman, both of Davenport; Aunts & Uncles, Gene & Betty Brown of Redwood City, California; and Al & Erma Roe of Congress, Arizona; nephews and families: Scott, Colleen, Sierra & Hannah Jackson of Appleton, Wisconsin; Frank, Shellar, Frankie, Jacob and Lilly Jackson of Davenport; and Thomas Schlichtman, Jr. of San Diego, California; sister-in-law, Mary Wingert, Bruce, & Katie of Hayfork, California; and life long friend, Casey Stephens and family of Fresno, California; many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Gathering: Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Frank & Sharon Schlichtman's residence, 312 N. Juniper Avenue, Davenport, Nebraska.

Inurnment: Private family inurnment at a later date.
